Hey Ya'll.

I watched a reel by Creating Through Chaos using this shelf and these crates for a St. Patrick's Day craft.

I happened to find the shelf and crates at my Dollar Tree and decided to give it a shot.

ree

I painted the shelf and the crates with white chalk paint and used Mod Podge to attach a pretty spring napkin over the front of the crates and the top of the shelf (shelf is turned vertical).

ree

I used an awl to poke the holes back through my napkin at the top of the shelf.

ree

I used my scissors to make the slits through the napkin on the crates.

ree

I used Aleen's tacky craft glue to adhere the crates to the shelf.

ree

I used the string that came with the shelf to make it hang, by using tape at the ends of the string to push it through the holes and then tying a knot on both sides.

Lastly, I tucked some greenery in the crates I found at Dollar General as well as little bunny heads and eggs I got from Dollar Tree. You could do it without the bunnies and eggs to make it spring instead of Easter. Isn't it cute???
