Vintage Valentine Craft

I got a late start on this because I couldn't find any vintage valentines at any local antique store, so I went online to eBay. Oh my, I just love vintage valentines.

First, I took a couple of Valentine's Day framed art pieces from Dollar Tree and removed the text.

Then I sanded it inside and out.

Then, I painted it white with a couple of coats of acrylic craft paint allowing them to dry completely between coats. Then I sanded some off to distress the frame. I don't typically like the distressed look, but on a vintage craft, distressing was a must.

Using Mod Podge painted on with a brush, I adhered the valentines to the inside of the frame, then added a top coat of the same.
While the mod podge was drying, I made a couple of ribbons.
Finally, I hot glued the ribbons onto the frames.
